Kids love it here
Woodcrest offers a fun and lively location for your next celebration. Young ones love the sense of adventure they get from climbing on the hay bales in the barn, wagon rides, and of course, meeting and learning about all the furry and feathery creatures that abound here. Adults love the peace, community, and vitality of the place, and oftentimes the chance to connect to a way of life they remember from visits to family farms during their own childhoods. Let us know how we can help you and yours celebrate together!
Educate and Entertain
In addition to growing good food for the community we offer a range of opportunities to share the farm and our methods with the public. We welcome school field trips (Pre-K through college), private tours, Scout Troops, and other groups seeking an educational experience. Contact us for more info regarding your next visit.
Choose your own adventure
Build your own experience here at the farm, ask about these and other fun things to do here!
Wagon Rides
Walking is for chumps! Tour the pastures and bottom acreage in our antique hay wagon, pulled behind a tractor. Meet the animals up close, and learn about how the different areas of the farm work together to contribute to a whole system. Fun for all ages.
Table/Chair Setup
With enough room and chairs/tables for up to 70 people, host your next event in our historic barn.
Blacksmithing Demonstrations
Visit our forge for a demonstration of one of the oldest professions. See how traditional methods are used to create useful items for the farm and home, as well as beautiful pieces of modern craftwork.
Chore Tour
Learn to help with the basics of farm animal care as you accompany the crew during chores. Feed and water the animals, check on the gardens, and milk the goats! Learn what to look for to maintain the health and happiness of all the animals in your care.
General Tour/Baby Animals
Get a guided tour of the entire farm. See the gardens and meet the animals, (ask about which babies we have to meet, seasonally. Throughout the year these might include baby goats, bunnies, puppies, cows, and chicks!)
Camping
We’re a camping family, and enjoy extending the privilege to others! Advance notice required. Enjoy rustic spots in the woods back behind the pastures, with mulched camping pads, a fire pit, and picnic tables.
