October 15th, 2012

[/caption]Monday being banjo day, we got a little earlier start than normal but our girls were all waiting to get milked. I had to sort everybody out and work through them as quickly as possible, even though it started raining before we finished. After my banjo lesson Chris and I had the first leisurely breakfast in many a day. Her morning included a trip to Rougemont for more chickens; mine was car fixit day. The van got a new battery and oil change, and I managed to plug the leak in the truck tire – at least, so far. We’ll see if it holds.
Around 4:30, our newest wwoofers, Tonya and Ryan, arrived and we spent the next hour getting them settled in. They are scheduled to be here for the next 3 weeks, and we’re looking forward to getting to know them better. Evening milking and feasting on the leftovers from the gala rounded out our day.
