October 12th, 2012

Milking, cleanup, Milking pretty much describes our day here at the farm. I have been washing and waxing the kitchen floor much of the day while Chris has been concentrating on finer details and Noah was hitting the outside. We still have a long way to go, but we are getting there. After all, a Gala should look like a Gala as well as taste like a Gala.
I also spent some time looking at ABI manure spreaders and talking to their sales rep. Very nice, but very expensive. Its hard to justify on a small farm like ours, but our most critical shortage is time. Anything that saves time is highly leveraged.
The rest of October looks like it will be spent on the hoop house. Ryan and Tonya arrive Monday, and hopefully Ryan and I will get ‘er done.
