May 5th, 2015

It was a busy day here at the farm.   After milking,  Eliza and Madison worked on converting live broiler chickens into dressed and frozen delicious chickens.  I think the tally was 28 or thereabouts.  Meanwhile,   Chris went off to Thomasville to look at a billy goat replacement.  Thomasville is evidently in Georgia.  She was evidently impressed enough to leave a deposit, so it looks like I will be making a return trip in the near future.  Chris and Dillon started out by framing up Diane’s kennel floor and grading the area with dirt and gravel.  We need a little more gravel and then we will be ready for cement.   As for me, I finished the insulators for the cross-fencing at East, and by the time I got that done, the guys were back and we picked up 216 square bales and threw them up in the loft.  So, busy day.

Dinner was one of our chickens + creamed corn, courtesy of Maddy.  She did a good job.  That’s the day at Woodcrest Farm.
