Ever want to try your hand at making cheese?  It's not nearly as difficult as you might imagine.  People have been making cheese since before written record.  Come join us for these beginning cheese making classes. 

The classes in this series cover simple recipes that have infinite possibilities.  Using equipment you probably already have in your kitchen you can eat healthier homemade cheeses.  You control quality, quantity, and flavor.

Tomatoes

Learn to can (and take home!) harvest-ripened local tomatoes for those dreary winter meals that need some summer sun. We will be canning tomato chunks (think veal scallopini), sauce (pasta and marinara) and natural tomato juice (has to be tasted to be believed).

Apples & Applesauce Where can you find delicious naturally sweetened just-right NC apples and applesauce for Thanksgiving and Christmas pies and to go with that Christmas pork roast? Come to Chris' apple-canning class and you'll learn how to put up your own apples, as well as taking home a treat. Oct. 9th 10am-noon
